When does BeamMDT come out?
The planned release is October 5, 2026 at 5 PM EDT. Downloads and purchasing are not open yet. This website does not collect payments.
What happened to BlueLineOS?
BlueLineOS is now BeamMDT. It is the same project with refreshed public branding. Older screenshots and some internal names still use BlueLine.
Is Lite really free?
Yes. Lite covers traffic stops, citations, Prowler radar, the patrol map and training. The Lite page will list published downloads by version when they are available.
Which edition should I choose?
Plus ($5) adds dispatch, records and everyday patrol apps. Pro ($12) adds Spillman Flex, on-screen radios, AI dispatch and TacTalkAI. Ultra ($24) adds TacTalk2, persistent personalities, more AI and the Stalker DSR 2X. Compare the editions.
How do I buy a paid edition?
Purchasing is planned for release day. Checkout is not available yet; edition prices and features are listed on the comparison page.
Installation & setup
What do I need?
BeamNG.drive on Windows. Put the correct edition's ZIP in the mods folder for the BeamNG user folder you actually use. Keep only one active copy of the mod; leave your saved settings in place.
Do I need the bridge?
The local bridge supports microphone input and some AI and web features. Use the bridge instructions bundled with your version. Basic role-play features still work without a connected AI provider.
Does it work outside Belasco City?
Belasco City / West Coast USA has the most detailed fictional street and patrol data. Other maps use generated addresses where detailed map data is unavailable.
Can the MDT run on another screen?
The Remote MDT feature provides a paired view on another screen or computer. Availability depends on your edition and the bridge setup.
Radio, AI & voices
How do I call another unit?
Say the receiving unit's number, or use a caller-to-recipient format such as “144 to 135, where are you?” The receiving simulated unit answers using its in-game position.
What does TacTalk2 add?
Individual backstories, personalities and persistent per-unit memory. Units keep their memories between sessions unless you explicitly delete them. The memory files and backstories are stored outside the mod ZIP.
Are AI and voices included in the purchase price?
You connect the services you want to use in AI & voices settings. Those providers may charge for use, and their charges are separate from the mod. Built-in dialogue handles supported requests when no provider is connected.
Community & simulation
What is BeamMDT Live?
The planned home for shared units, the community roster and player-submitted game activity. The service is not connected yet. Its planned launch is October 5, 2026 at 5 PM EDT, and sharing is limited to fictional game records.
Will it cover every player or just my server?
The intended scope is all participating BeamMDT players, not only one BeamMP server. Public sharing must be opt-in and limited to game data; activation codes and personal information do not belong in the public roster.
Is any of this connected to real police systems?
No. BeamMDT is a fan-made simulation mod. People, plates and records are fictional game content. It does not connect to real police CAD, government records or emergency services.
What's a lore-friendly edition?
A version with fictional look-alike branding for videos, streams and servers. Depicted product names and logos in the other version belong to their owners.
